Etched Magnesium Plaques

Etched magnesium, for indoor use only, feature raised satin finished surfaces. They can be left in magnesium's natural color (silver) or dyed gold. Recessed areas have a distinctive sand texture and are available in a variety of colors. If your project requires a substantial quantity of text within a limited amount of space, an etched magnesium plaque may be the perfect solution.

The National Bank of Tennessee, in Newport, Tennessee, had very specific requirements for their mounting location: a plaque light enough to be mounted with foam tape, Interchangeable Nameplates for their Board of Directors' names, and relatively small lettering. Our innovative use of Etched Magnesium was perfect. All satin-finished raised areas, including the double-line border, are dyed gold, and the sand textured background is black.

 

	Peter H. Myers mounted this beautiful  6" x 3" etched magnesium plaque below his photograph "A Moment of Clarity" (which is on display at Crater Lake National Park). The magnesium is a full 1/4" thick and features both recessed and raised lettering. Raised areas are satin finished, recessed areas are black with a sand texture.

 

	Because of its interior mounting location, magnesium was the product of choice for this 7" x 10" memorial to Mr. Jamison. His image was etched from a pen & ink drawing, all satin-finished raised areas are dyed gold, and the sand textured background is black. A unique double-line border was utilized as well.

 

A perfect example of small text and small graphics lies within this 3-3/8" x 4-1/8" etched magnesium plaque. The raised surfaces are natural satin magnesium, and the recessed areas are a blue painted sand texture. The inscription line "Presented by..." is only 3/16" tall (height of capital letters).
